Why this skill
The school is full of unanswered questions.
Which period is the library busiest? How long is the canteen queue? How many students walk to school? Nobody knows, and the answers are a week's work for a class with a clipboard. Ask, count, show. The chart goes to the person who can act on it.
It is the plainest form of work on providing human services we run, it needs nothing bought, and it teaches the honesty every other skill depends on: you write down what you counted, not what you hoped.

How we get to school
Every student in a class, asked the same question the same way. A map, a chart, a note to the transport in-charge.
The library question
Footfall by period, counted at the door. Which periods the library actually gets used.
Classes 6 to 12

Classes 6 to 8

Classes 9 to 10
sampling, a questionnaire tested before it is used, spreadsheets, and a finding presented to the people it concerns.
Classes 11 to 12
a survey with a real client in the school, its limits stated, and the same data handed to the coding and AI work.
Classes 6 to 12
A mathematics or social science teacher runs this well. We train the parts that go wrong: a leading question, a count that changes method halfway, a chart that flatters.
By August to December teachers lead and we coach.
Equipment
Equipment is bought. Capability is built.
Clipboards, paper, a stopwatch, and the computer lab you already have for the charts. CBSE's CSL equipment list is explicitly "suggestive", adoptable per readiness (Circular Skill-13/2026, 20.03.2026).

It is maths with a client. The difference is that someone in the school is waiting for the answer.
