The stall
One product, made or grown by the class. A price argued out, a sign, a float, a ledger, and a Mela day to run it.
Skills · Entrepreneurship
A stall at the Mela: a product, a price card, a ledger. Not a pitch competition. A small business, run for real, and accounted for. Classes 6 to 12.
Why this skill
The year-end Kaushal Mela gives every class an audience and a day. Most schools use it for display. We use it as a market. The stall sold out. Now the sums: did it make money? A class that has priced a thing, sold it, and counted the money afterwards knows more about enterprise than any slide deck can teach.
It sits under work on providing human services, and it gives the other skills a customer: the growing bed, the printed parts and the coded game all need one.
The work
Example briefs, not student work.
One product, made or grown by the class. A price argued out, a sign, a float, a ledger, and a Mela day to run it.
Something the school will pay for once: a repair desk, a photograph day, a tutoring hour. Costed, delivered, invoiced.
Every rupee in and out, reconciled the next morning. The gap between what was planned and what happened is the lesson.
Classes 6 to 12
a stall at the Mela, a price, a ledger. Kaushal Bodh projects under human services (Circular Skill-81/2025, 28.10.2025).
costing, margins, a simple cash book, and a service sold more than once.
a business plan tested on real customers, and an honest post-mortem.
Classes 6 to 12
A commerce or mathematics teacher takes to this quickly; so does the teacher who runs the school fete. We train the discipline of the ledger and the habit of letting a plan fail in public without rescuing it.
By August to December teachers lead and we coach.
Equipment
A float, a table, a cash book. What the class sells comes from the other skills or from the students' own hands. CBSE's CSL equipment list is explicitly "suggestive", adoptable per readiness (Circular Skill-13/2026, 20.03.2026).

Questions
Under supervision, yes, and that is the point. Amounts are small, floats are counted in and out, and the ledger is public.
Then the audit is the project. We do not promise outcomes; we promise an honest account.
Yes, under work on providing human services, where classes 6 to 8 need one project a year (Circular Skill-81/2025).

How a school and Hankernest find out whether Entrepreneurship fits before anyone commits to a year. Inside your timetable, with your teachers and your students, on what you already own.
Your class builds
A price card and a one-page plan for a stall the class could run at the Mela, costed on the board.
And learns. What a price has to cover.
One brief from this page, run as a lesson with one of your classes, on what the school already owns.
The same kit in their hands. Where it fails, what students ask, how the period is paced.
Where the periods come from, which classes, and which forms of work the projects would cover.
What we would run, what you already have, what you would buy directly, and a cost band. No obligation.
You pick the class and the period. We bring what the session needs.
