The finished robot on the shelf teaches nothing. We run robotics as a cycle: build, test, break, rebuild. Classes 6 to 12.

Robotics is not a CBSE curriculum subject. Short courses run via Skill Hubs under PMKVY 4.0, aligned with national skilling priorities. In your timetable it is lab and project work.

The work

kit builds, mechanisms, test-fail-revise. Kaushal Bodh projects under materials and machines (Circular Skill-81/2025, 28.10.2025), assessed on viva, activity book, portfolio, teacher observation. A Composite Skill Lab "may utilize" it.

Classes 9 to 10

microcontrollers, sensors, code. The robot becomes a system, not a kit.

Classes 11 to 12

multiple sensors, state machines, the limits of autonomy.

The training behind it

Every group's machine fails differently, at once. Teaching inside that is the skill: debugging by question, triage across eight groups, kit stewardship.

By the steady-state term teachers lead and we coach. We optimize for whether the work is still happening in Year Three, when nobody is watching.

Equipment is bought. Capability is built.

With an Atal Tinkering Lab, you likely own more than this needs to start. CBSE's CSL equipment list is explicitly "suggestive", adoptable per readiness (Circular Skill-13/2026, 20.03.2026).

Our kits have sat in a cupboard for years. Normal?

Normal enough that it is why this company exists. Most school labs are well-built and underused.

Is robotics a CBSE curriculum subject?

No. Kaushal Bodh projects for classes 6 to 8 can host it, where CBSE's emphasis is learning from the doing, not the end product.

Do students need to know coding first?

No. The build comes first; code enters when the robot needs a behaviour hands can't provide.
