A virtual tour of the school

Skills · AR/VR
Consuming a scene takes two minutes. Constructing one takes a term. Classes 6 to 12.

The pattern
AR/VR in most schools is a demo day: two minutes in a headset, then back to class. Without a build cycle behind it, that is a gimmick, and we decline it.
The work
Example briefs, not student work. The year runs deconstruct, build, publish, ending at the Kaushal Mela.
360-degree photographs stitched for visitors, sequenced by what a stranger needs.
Point a tablet at the apparatus; student labels appear. 3D spaces and AR overlays, made on ordinary computers.
Modelled as it once looked, story built into the scene.
Classes 6 to 12
CBSE's emphasis: the doing, not the end product.
tablet AR and desktop creation only.
three projects a year, one per form of work (Circular Skill-81/2025, 28.10.2025). The tour serves human services; the modelling, machines.
heavier 3D work, longer builds, real critique.
Classes 6 to 12
The hard part is not the headset. It is running a room where students share few devices and all stay working.
Device rotations, headset-free build stations, peer critique. By August to December teachers lead and we coach.
Equipment
Headsets are the priciest per-seat hardware in school. Nothing requires a class set: the making runs on computers you have. CBSE's CSL equipment list is explicitly "suggestive", adoptable per readiness (Circular Skill-13/2026, 20.03.2026).
The skills map
Questions
No. Creation happens on computers and tablets; a few headsets rotated through a class cover it.
We follow the minimum-age guidance headset makers publish. Younger classes use tablet AR instead, seated and supervised.
The lab satisfies it; a skill is what happens inside. Every CBSE-affiliated school must establish a CSL by 22 August 2027 (immediately for fresh affiliations): one 600 sq ft lab for classes 6 to 12, or two 400 sq ft (6 to 10, 11 to 12). Skill-75/2024, deadline in Skill-13/2026.

How a school and Hankernest find out whether AR/VR fits before anyone commits to a year. Inside your timetable, with your teachers and your students, on what you already own.
Your class builds
One AR label on a piece of lab apparatus, made on a tablet and pointed at the real thing.
And learns. Constructing a scene, not consuming one.
One brief from this page, run as a lesson with one of your classes, on what the school already owns.
The same kit in their hands. Where it fails, what students ask, how the period is paced.
Where the periods come from, which classes, and which forms of work the projects would cover.
What we would run, what you already have, what you would buy directly, and a cost band. No obligation.
You pick the class and the period. We bring what the session needs.
