Who we are

What this website collects on its own

Nothing.

There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind on this site. We do not know who visits, which pages they read, or where they came from. This is a deliberate choice and not an oversight, and you can check it: open your browser's developer tools and look at the storage and the network tab.

What we collect when you write to us

The forms on this site do not send anything to a server of ours. Pressing the button opens your own email application with the details filled in, and nothing reaches us until you choose to send that email. If you do send it, we receive whatever you put in it, which is usually:

• your name and your role;
• the name and type of your school or institution;
• a phone number, an email address, or both; and
• whatever you wrote in the message.

We use it for one thing: to reply to you and to have the conversation you started. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. Under the DPDP Act our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by choosing to send the email, and you can withdraw it at any time by telling us to delete what you sent.

The newsletter works the same way. It opens an email asking to be added to the list, and you can ask to be taken off it whenever you like.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Enquiries reach us as email and stay in our mailbox. We keep them while we are talking to you and for up to three years after our last contact, so that we can pick up a conversation a school restarts a year later. After that we delete them. If you want yours deleted sooner, ask and we will.

The parts we do not control

Our web host

This site is hosted by Hostinger, on a server in India, with backups held in Singapore. Like every web server, it writes access logs that include the IP address of each visitor. We do not use those logs to build a profile of anyone, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Nothing else

There is no third party on this site at all. The typefaces are served from our own server, not from Google Fonts, so your browser does not announce your visit to anyone before the page loads. There is no content delivery network in front of the pages, no embedded video, no map, and no social widget.

Links out

Where we link to another site, that site has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for it.

Children

This website is written for adults deciding on behalf of a school. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through it, and the forms ask for a professional role and an institution for that reason. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

Photographs of children appear on this site. How they get there, and how to have one removed, is set out in our children, photographs and consent policy.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it;
• correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything missing;
• erase it, where we are not required to keep it; and
• nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapable.

Ask at info@hankernest.com. We will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Grievances

Our Grievance Officer can be reached at info@hankernest.com, or by post at HANKERNEST TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, Dayalbagh, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Write "Grievance" in the subject line and we will acknowledge within three working days.

Changes

When the site changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too. We do not quietly widen what we collect.
