FOR COLLEGES

For colleges who understand that Skills Matter the Most!

Two ways we work with higher-education institutions and their students – Faculty development that actually changes Monday-morning teaching, and Internships that put students in front of real problems.

WHAT WE'VE NOTICED

The gap isn't between colleges and industry. It's between theory and craft.

Indian higher education has spent a decade trying to “bridge industry.” More guest lectures. More placement drives. More certifications. The placement numbers improve. The actual gap doesn’t.

Because the gap was never about industry exposure. It’s about whether students have practised the craft of building, breaking, and shipping things. That practice has to be designed into how courses are taught and how internships are structured. That’s where we work.

Practised craft is what closes the gap. Exposure doesn’t.

HOW WE WORK WITH YOU

Two services. Two distinct audiences.
FOR INSTITUTIONS

Faculty Development Programmes

FOR DEANS, HODS & FACULTY LEADS

Multi-day, on-campus FDPs designed and led personally by Hardik Chadda. Anchored in current research and Hankernest's eight years of classroom fieldwork. Topics span AI, Maker Education, creativity as a learnable skill, and how to redesign courses for hands-on practice.

  • 2–5 day on-campus engagement
  • Designed around your faculty's current curriculum
  • Hardik leads every session personally
FOR STUDENTS

Internships and Apprenticeships

FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Structured online internships in maker-tech, embedded systems, edge AI, and creative-education research. Six-to-eight-week cohorts. Real projects, real mentorship, real deliverables. Not a certificate-mill internship — an actual block of supervised work that goes on a portfolio.

  • 4–20 week structured cohorts
  • Direct mentorship from Hardik and senior team
  • Project deliverables that go on your portfolio
  • Open year-round — rolling intake

WHY US?

The person leading these engagements.

FDPs and internship cohorts are designed and delivered personally by Hardik Chadda. founder of Hankernest, Arduino Master Trainer, and PhD candidate at Dayalbagh Educational Institute. Not a sales team. Not contract trainers. Hardik runs every cohort himself.

QUESTIONS DEANS AND STUDENTS ASK

Honest answers.

How is this different from a typical FDP vendor?

Most FDP vendors deliver content. We work on craft. The difference shows up in what faculty can do on Monday morning. A vendor leaves you with a certificate and a slide deck. Hankernest leaves you with redesigned modules, classroom moves you can use that week, and a small library of projects you can run with students. We measure ourselves on whether the FDP changes how a faculty member teaches the next term.

Can we customise the FDP topic to our department?

Yes. Most of our FDPs are custom-designed after a 30-minute call with the dean or HoD. We’ve delivered FDPs on Edge AI for engineering faculty, on creativity pedagogy for design and architecture faculty, and on maker-based teaching for science and CS departments. The starting point is always: what do your faculty actually want to teach better?

Do students get an internship certificate?

Yes. Every Hankernest internship comes with a structured certificate that names the project worked on, the skills demonstrated, and the deliverables shipped. We deliberately do not issue blanket “intern at Hankernest” certificates — the document reflects what the student actually did, which makes it useful when they apply for jobs or higher studies.

What's the cost of an FDP?

It depends on duration, scope, and number of faculty. We design proposals after the first conversation. A typical 3-day on-campus FDP for 20–25 faculty members lands in a defined band, and we share specifics during the discussion. We don’t publish fixed pricing because each FDP is custom-designed, and we’d rather meet you than sell you a tier.

Can colleges sponsor students onto the Online Internship?

Yes. Colleges that sponsor a cohort of five or more students receive an institutional discount and a custom orientation session. Some colleges do this as a structured supplement to their summer internship requirement. Write to us if you’d like to discuss this.
