FOR EDUCATORS

For teachers building their craft.

Three cohort experiences for in-service teachers, aspiring educators, and college faculty, all designed by an educator, all built around classrooms you actually teach in.

WHAT WE'VE NOTICED

Most teacher development is generic.

Most certifications don’t change how you teach on Monday morning. Most workshops are designed by people who haven’t been in front of a classroom in years. Most professional development happens to teachers, not with them.

We’ve watched this from inside Indian classrooms for eight years. We built our cohorts to do the opposite.

Educator-led, classroom-anchored, and small enough to actually know each other.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

Most teacher development is generic.

I’ve taught in classrooms in three countries now. The challenges are different. The thing that works is always the same: a teacher who knows how to make space for thinking. That’s what these programmes are for. Not to certify you. To help you build the small set of skills that change how a classroom feels on a Tuesday afternoon.
The best teacher development happens when educators are in the room with each other, with enough time to actually think, and with a facilitator who has been in their shoes.

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE BACK

Things you'll actually use on Monday morning.

01

A clear mental model of creativity as a learnable skill.

Not a slogan. A working framework you can apply to lesson planning, project design, and how you watch your students.

02

A small library of classroom moves.

Specific facilitation techniques you can drop into the lesson you’ll teach next week. We design these together; you leave with your own version.

03

A way to document what's working.

Most teachers stop reflecting on practice because there’s no time. We build you a lightweight reflection rhythm that fits inside an actual school week.

04

A cohort of 12–15 educators who get it.

Maybe the most underrated part. The people you sit next to during the cohort become the people you message when something works or breaks at school.

QUESTIONS EDUCATORS ASK

Honest answers.

Will my school recognise this as professional development?

The Founding Cohort and ATL & CSL Management Training both come with a Hankernest-issued certificate. Most CBSE-affiliated schools accept these as PD hours. We can also issue a customised letter for your school’s HR if needed. Write to us before you enrol if you want to confirm.

Is this for new teachers or experienced ones?

Both. Our cohorts deliberately mix in-service teachers, aspiring teachers, and the occasional college faculty. The conversations are richer when the room has a range of experience. We don’t run beginner-only or expert-only batches.

What if my school isn't a CBSE school?

The pedagogy works regardless of board. The CBSE-specific elements (CSL preparation, ATL implementation, Skill Education frameworks) are most directly useful to CBSE teachers, but the underlying craft — creative thinking, classroom design, project facilitation — transfers to ICSE, IB, state board, and international schools.

Can I sponsor my own teachers onto this?

Yes. Schools that sponsor three or more teachers on the same programme receive a 10% institutional discount. We’ve worked with schools that send a small group and then design follow-on classroom support around what their teachers brought back. Write to us if you’d like to do this.

What's the difference between the Founding Cohort and the ATL & CSL Training?

The Founding Cohort is broader — it’s about you as a creative-education practitioner, regardless of the lab you teach in. The ATL & CSL Training is narrower and more operational — specifically how to run a tinkering or composite skill lab. Some educators do both. Most do one.
